Today I drove up to Mt. Lindo, which is a cremation garden and cemetery near Morrison overlooking Turkey Creek Canyon. The east side of the mountain has the famous lighted cross that can be seen from Denver. It was a gray day with occasional rain. This tree seemed to reflect the changing mood of the seasons.

More Fairmount Angels

I wanted to see how close in I could get so I tried this close-up shot. The camera has an equivalent 28mm-102mm lens so you can get pretty decent close-ups. The camera has a macro, but I didn't use it to get this shot. Here's one where I was trying to get a gray against gray look...

Under April Skies

This is the first photograph I took at Fairmount and one of the first I took with the new camera. It drizzled on the way over to the cemetery, but the rain stopped by the time I got there. The sky was just the right gray for the kind of light I like when taking pictures in cemeteries. Here are two more pictures...
